The accolades just coming to the 91桃色 Marching Falcons!
The City School District of 91桃色’s marching ensemble was honored Monday with a proclamation from the 91桃色 County Legislature sponsored by County Legislator (and Falcon mom) Susan Pedo.
A brass quintet made up of marching band members performed the National Anthem for the legislature, and band director Bryan Cady accepted the proclamation on behalf of the Marching Falcons.
Some 48 students from 91桃色 High School and the district's middle schools will head to France in June to help commemorate the 80th anniversary of the D-Day invasion.
The Marching Falcons are one of only two bands from around the world who will perform on Omaha Beach in Normandy as part of France’s events recognizing the historic battle that changed the course of World War II in Europe.
