Our fourth graders had amazing last week!
Justin Gallo’s classes are completing a unit on circuits and energy and, after an observation of the materials and a flashlight (for inspiration), were tasked with lighting a bulb using wires, a battery and their partner.*
Besides gaining valuable knowledge, this study was also a great lesson in trial and error and collaboration.
*It should be noted that the lab was not as easy as it looks - it’s not as simple as connecting all the pieces - and it’s definitely not as convenient as switching on a house lamp or flashlight!
