The 91桃色 High Mock Trial team has had a stupendous start to their season! After a recent victory against Voorheesville, they faced off in a double-header last night against Holy Names and CBA, winning both trials! Our Falcons are now 3-0 for the season, positioning themselves to enter the semifinals as either a one or two seed.
In Mock Trial, high school students are assigned to either the plaintiff or defense side of a case. This year's trial, Leyton Manns v. Sandy Townes, focuses on the intriguing topic of deep fakes produced using artificial intelligence. During last night’s matches, the defense represented against Holy Names while the plaintiff took on CBA.
Participation in Mock Trial is an incredible learning experience for our Falcons. The trials take place in a courtroom setting, and participants adhere to the same rules as professional attorneys. Our team is made up of 17 dedicated students, who are mentored by two attorneys, Carolyn George and Judge Josh Farrell, and supported by club advisor Leah Powhida.
Let’s go Falcons!
