Parent-teacher conferences

The second marking period ended today, Jan. 31. Parent-teacher conferences will be held next week. Please visit the calendar events for Thursday, Feb. 6 and Friday, Feb. 7 for additional information on how to schedule a conference.

Art accolades

During Regents week, our Falcons created a series of moveable murals which will adorn the halls at 91桃色 High. It was so inspirational to watch this incredible project unfold in just a few short days!

We also are thrilled to share that three of our Falcons—Brooke McKenzie, Eliza Schlesinger and Star White—had their pieces accepted into the 2025 Art in 3-Dimensions show. You can view their artwork and learn more about the juried exhibition by reading our news story.

Lunar New Year festivities

Our students taking Mandarin Chinese 1 embraced their creativity in the classroom this week as they celebrated Lunar New Year. They practiced calligraphy on rice paper, made paper cutouts and sampled sweet rice cake!

Culture Fest

On Thursday evening, we caught a glimpse of the word as our Falcons and students from various schools within the City School District of 91桃色—along with staff, loved ones and community members—came together to celebrate the rich tapestry of cultures in our city. The room was filled with amazing artwork, delicious dishes, captivating dances and gorgeous traditional clothing worn with pride by students celebrating their heritage!

Sports spotlight

Our Falcons made the local news! Check out this celebrating the strength and thrilling performance our varsity girls’ basketball team this season, as they work hard towards their goal of a Section II championship. We also want to give a big shout out to coach Wilmer “Decky” Lawson for reaching the commendable milestone of 200 coaching wins on Jan. 24!
