Holiday Highlights
It has been a festive and fun week here at 91ÌÒÉ« High School leading up to Holiday Recess! Our cosmetology students facilitated a , helping customers get gorgeous for the holidays. Our students and staff brought the fun with their outfits and accessories for themed days for Spirit Week, such as and ! Students, staff and families were dazzled by a variety of performances, including the , the , and by the 91ÌÒÉ« High choir students. Our Specialized Reading students led a festive read-aloud activity with kindergarten and first graders from New Scotland Elementary School.
Boys' varsity basketball vs. Shaker
Our 91ÌÒÉ« High School boys' basketball team took on Shaker at home Tuesday night, but unfortunately, they faced their first loss of the season with a score of 60-32. Civics Community Fair
Our seniors had an educational and inspirational experience at the Civics Community Fair! We are immensely grateful for the 11 community organizers and organizations that participated and spent time speaking with our students about opportunities to make our community and our world a better place. Concessions stand volunteers needed
Volunteer slots are now open for January for the concessions stand for our home games! This is a great way to support our student-athletes and show your Falcon pride! All you need to do to sign up is . Adult and student volunteers are welcome to participate.
Donations needed for Falcon Boutique
The Holiday Recess is the perfect time to clear out closets and gather donations for our students and families in need. We are specifically seeking donations of coats, hats, gloves and athletic wear. Donations can be dropped off at the 91ÌÒÉ« High main entrance when classes resume on Jan. 2.

Suburban Council Music Festival
We're thrilled to share that nine of our Falcons were selected to sing in the high school choir at the Suburban Council Music Festival, which will be held on Jan. 25. We're incredibly proud of these students and the teachers who guide and instruct them. Read our full news story to learn more.
Fall 2024 Scholar-Athlete awards
The New York State Public High School Athletic Association has announced its fall scholar-athlete individuals and teams. We're proud to share that 92 91ÌÒÉ« High School student-athletes had a 90 or above grade-point average and will receive pins for their scholastic achievements! Additionally, seven of our fall teams earned the Scholar-Athlete Team Award, with the average GPA of the top 75% of the roster being 90 or greater. Powerful in the pool
Our Falcon boys’ varsity swimming team put up a valiant fight against Shaker at their . Despite a 61-86 loss to Shaker, our student-athletes put forth an incredible effort and we are proud of their excellent teamwork and commendable sportsmanship.

- Students and staff are invited to participate in Spirit Week from Dec. 16-20! Visit our calendar event to view the daily themes.
- Our students who are part of the New York State Alternate Assessment (NYSAA) program will be putting on a holiday performance on Monday, Dec. 16 from 1-2 p.m. We hope to see you there!
- Toys for Tots will be holding a holiday giveback event at 91ÌÒÉ« High on Monday, Dec. 16 from 5-7 p.m.
- Student Government is hosting a free Holiday Hoopla event after school on Thursday, Dec. 19.
- Support the Class of 2025 by stopping by their winter bake sale on Dec. 18 or by purchasing pizza from Blaze Pizza on Dec. 19.
Donations needed for our Falcon Boutique
We are committed to ensuring our Falcons and their families stay warm this winter, but to do that, we need your help! Currently, we have run out of coats to donate to families in our school community, and we are also in need of hats, scarves, gloves and other warm outerwear. Additionally, we have student-athletes in need of athletic gear to wear during workouts. Donations can be dropped off in the main office.
Online Success Program: Holiday Recess sessions
Students are invited to raise their first quarter grades through targeted sessions in the Online Success Program. The Online Success Program will be open during the Holiday Recess from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on the following days: Dec. 21, Dec. 23, Dec. 27, Dec. 28 and Dec. 30. Students must enroll and sign a contract to participate. All first quarter work must be completed by Jan. 24.
