No Place for Hate encourages equity

Four students make a presentation about inclusion in a fifth-grade classroom.

In recognition of Spread the Word Day, representatives from the MMS No Place for Hate (NPFH) group spoke with peers in grades 3-5 about the importance of inclusion.

Part of the discussion involved the importance of language and words when describing classmates with intellectual or physical disabilities.

Thank you to - and all our students - for working to ensure each-and-every student in our building feels accepted, welcome and that they are a part of our community.
